ABSTRACT: Campomanesia phaea has commercial interest because its fruits are used in the manufacture of several products, besides high nutritional potential. Nevertheless, it low germination potential and there is not much information literature. The aim this study was to perform a biometric characterization establish tetrazolium test for cambuci seeds. The reduction of nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) by phagocytic leucocytes in peripheral blood has been examined in rabbits injected intratesticularly with Treponema pallidum, T. pallidum-free supernatant of orchitic testes, or normal rabbit testes supernatant.
